What is Gothy?

In short: a discord server dedicated to the goth subculture, by goths, for goths.

Focus on Goth subculture: centered around the goth subculture, which is defined by its music and aesthetics. This means you'll find discussions about:

• Music: Goth rock, post-punk, deathrock, darkwave, ethereal wave, and other related genres (there won’t be discussions about metal, emo, EBM, emo rap, etc in the goth-related music channels for example. But rather in the #other-music channel). This is the core of the community.

• Fashion: Gothic clothing, makeup, and hairstyles.

• Art and Literature: Gothic art, literature, and other creative expressions, such as creating music etc.

• Lifestyle: Discussing events, concerts, and general life as a goth.

• Community and Socializing: provide a space for goths to connect with one another, especially for those who may not have a strong local goth scene. A platform for people to make friends, share their interests, and feel a sense of belonging, and safe from leghumpers and right-wing types.
